How can I remove W32.Beagle.EB from Windows Vista?

A few days ago I noticed Avg free was disabled, so was windows defender, and wouldn麓t re-activate when I tried. In fact, any free or trial antivirus I downloaded would not install and system restore fails everytime.

The Symantec free online scan identified 1 virus: C:\Windows\System32\ drivers\ down\ 101400.exe is infected with W32.Beagle.EB

What can I do guys?

Hi there,

W32.Beagle.xx has the ability to kill any running antivirus in your system, so using any antivirus will be failed. What you have to do is either boot with a live CD like (http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/) and use a portable ClamAV (http://portableapps.com/apps/utilities/c... and scan your system without any problem.

or try to delete the "101400.exe" file manual, if it gives you "Access Denied" try to use FileAssassin (http://www.malwarebytes.org/fileassassin... and enable all of the check boxes there.

Else you can try to follow the instruction in my posts here:
