I have an internet security problem involving kaspersky's aol, avg and mcaffe.?

Okay. At the moment i only have the free aol active shield by kaspersky. i also have mcaffe firewall, windows defender and spy sweeper. i can get mcaffe antivirus and avg for free. I dont know if my computer is safe because aol catches 99.6 percent of viruses, avg catches 82 and mcaffe catches like 93. is it possible to use all three? Please, i need help asap.

no only use one at a time . running more than one will trigger false positives and render them ineffective . I have used avg exclusivly for about 3 years and have never been infected on any of my 3 computers. So i find it quite sufficient . Just be smart about what and from where you are downloading stuff. Dont get over paranoid about it , running to much crap will just use system resources and slow down your computer.

Yes it is possible to use all three. You just need to make all of the anti-virus programs allow 3'rd party applications. I use 2 Virus protectors. Try it out. It will work.
Always use only 1 anti-virus. Conflicts will arise if you use 2 or more and leave you with less protection, not more!

As a back-up and second opinion scanner to my Actice Virus Scan, I use the free online BitDefender.

Since this scanner does not reside on your computer, there is no conflict.
DON'T DO IT, its just that simple, never use more than one virus program, and get rid of that AOL thing, AOL would never block thier own spyware, nor would they tell you they are doing it.

Go to kaspersky's web site and get it directly from them, not AOL's version, kaspersky is not free though. Best bet is AntiVir, its free, or second best is AVG, free also.

Spyware programs are different, use as many as you want, but not Virus software.
